Jia is hiring a passionate, motivated, detail-oriented, curious and ambitious Strategy & Operations Associate to join our fast-paced, fun-loving global team for Summer 2024. You will support our operations in Kenya and the Philippines, and assist with product development research, user needs testing, business development, customer experience, investor relations and external communications. You will work closely with members of Jia’s global team and will report to the CEO. 💪

The Opportunity 🌟

Product Development Research 
Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape in the small business financing and financial operations software space.
Gather insights on user needs, pain points, and behaviors through surveys, interviews, and usability studies with small business owners, finance managers, and other relevant stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and priorities based on user feedback and market analysis.
Work closely with Design, Product & Engineering teams to translate user needs and insights into intuitive and effective product designs.
Communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to business leadership to drive alignment and support for product initiatives.

‍Communications
‍Develop and execute external communication strategies to enhance brand awareness, reputation, and thought leadership in the fintech and small business finance space.
Draft press releases, blog posts, and other content to communicate company news, product updates, and thought leadership insights.
Support investor relations activities, including preparing financial reports, presentations, and investor communications.
Contribute to fundraising efforts by assisting with investor due diligence, pitch deck preparation, and investor meetings.

‍Business Development & Partnerships
‍Support the end-to-end partnership lifecycle, including partner prospecting, relationship building, contract negotiation, launch and account management.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define partnership objectives, requirements, and success metrics.
Conduct market research and competitireneurs and small businesses in emerging markets.
