Senior Backend Engineer

As a senior backend engineer at Jia, you are responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the core backend infrastructure. You have a high degree of self-management and provide engineering solutions to open-ended problems.
What we’re looking for 🔍
- 4+ years of experience dealing with performance and scaling problems
- 4+ years of experience in at least one statically typed language such as Java, Scala, or Kotlin
- Experience working with event-driven architectures
- Expert knowledge of REST API design
- Expert knowledge in at least one relational database such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MS SQL Server
- Strong knowledge and experience working with various software testing methodologies
Additional experience and skills that will be nice to have 👌
- Experience building software in the Web3 space
- Experience with Frontend development frameworks such as Flutter
- Experience working with cloud computing platforms such as AWS
- Experience working with Kubernetes clusters
- Experience working with GitOps
- Experience refactoring legacy codebases
